The holding companies provide some relief, but not a total elimination of taxes.

If we are going to have corporations, which are by definition a new and separate entity from the individual or individuals that created it, it must be treated from a tax perspective the same as other entities.

Why should the store on the corner that is owned by a corporation pay no taxes on it's profits while the street vendor that is selling the same product must pay taxes because he/she is an individual? Why should the individual suffer a government mandated cost structure that is at a disadvantage to the corporation?
