CNBC did a bit AH on NT and showed a statement that NT had seen their share of the long-haul market slip from just over 50% (I think 52%) to under 30% (I think 29%). They then said that Ciena was the main reason.

If accurate, this is quite a serious drop in market share. I remember the article earlier this year that used the 50+% market share for NT and a drop for Ciena and that we had a quite a bit of discussion on the thread about this.

I wonder if they were using the same parameters for these new numbers? If so, this is a precipitous decline. Could it even impact the viability of NT?

I am not trying to be flip or alarmist with these questions. I am just thinking about LU and how its business and financial strength has disappeared almost overnight and wonder if we could be seeing LU redux?
