Or does the whole CPE modem industry get so cut throat, that the only companies that could make money on them would be some Asian companies, with razor thin margins. Reminds me of the consumer electronics market, more than 90% Asian owned companies, with high quality products. They too can make high quality ADSL modems, don't under estimate them. Just my opinion.

The ones that will be left are the ones that sell to the RBOC's- WSTL, siemans (the old EFNT) and ALA (now Thompson (http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/010607/2267.html). Those that sell to CLEC's will die (CMTN...)
Down to a just a few. Then the prices of the modems, and the margins, can rise.
Can WSTL survive til then? Can they get the $20 MM? I hope they can go for bonds and not stock. Rates are low....
C'mom boyz, get that paper work done. Issue the press release and let this thing rip....
