Dear D, the basic fallacy of your mind is you try to ascribe the actions of stupid or evil people who mask their intent by fooling the stupid. They also fool the foolish and cause a nuisance for the good folks who have to put up with the foolish talk of the fools. As has been said, mountains of good are done by many who Belief in and have reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe. A few pervert the message and do harm that is far more visible but much less by thousands than the effects of the good. A gun is not good or evil.
