Haim:

Agreee with your take on the strong dollar policy. Simply a sophisticated mechanism whereby the US can live beyond its means year after year since it is the sole superpower. The war against gold is only one part of this process.

BTW, the current international monetary system was designed with these ends in mind. The way the world works now, many smaller counties can only achieve a modicum of prosperity by sending a torrent of cheap exports to the US. And these exports are paid for by dollars manufactured out of thin air. Sooner or later the international monetary system must be fundamentally restructured to give the rest of the world a fairer shake.
