The tweak was to run it at 1.8v not, 1.6v.

This is a .13 chip rated to run at 1.4v. What was done is the equivalent of running a P4 or Athlon at 2.3v.

Aluminum Durons from Austin (morgans) are expected to run at similar speeds.

This doesn't bode well for Intel's .13 process and may be why AMD now expects to increase its market share more than previously estimated. If AMD's 5 year old aluminum process is keeping up with Intel's near future .13 copper process for similar pipeline length chips....
