The last few posts on I2O brings into focus the huge implications of the inevitable addition of an I2O chip to desktop PC motherboards. We have indications of this occurring as early as next year. Can you, or anyone, find concrete evidence from Intel as to when and under what conditions, such as high-end workstations only, this should happen?

It would be very, very important if we could pin point this before the market gets told about it. (See my recent post to Ramsey on market news.)
