Terrence... Free markets in the textbook case are built on fair competition between all players, big and small.

Independent generators are offline due to conglomerate utility subsidiaries not paying them. Removing price caps tomorrow will not foster competition any more than today. Independents have not been paid by the bankrupt subsidiaries of the conglomerates.

If prices are grossly inflated by deliberately withholding production and the nation runs a risk of an economic collapse, then it is the will of the people to regulate.

Call it communism if you must. I call it preventing fraud.
