Muskox Minerals Corp - News Release
Muskox releases Intrusion Keel sector drilling results

Tuesday Jun 12 2001 News Release
Mr. Bill Dynes reports
Since the corporation's last news release in Stockwatch of May 28, 2001, exploration drilling within the Keel sector of the Muskox Intrusion has continued. The concurrent objectives of this drilling are the discovery of magmatic platinum group elements/copper/nickel sulphide mineralization and the calibration of the spatial precision of audiomagnetotellurics (AMT) geophysical techniques. Both of these objectives are being assisted by downhole electromagnetic surveys.
Recent drilling has experienced additional delays due to unseasonably poor arctic weather conditions including blizzards and poor visibility. With spring breakup now in progress, weather conditions are expected to improve. Fuel supplies for the summer program were successfully airlifted by Hercules aircraft onto the project's ice strips before breakup.
Analytical results from drill holes MU30 and MU31
Diamond drill hole MU30:
L 2000 N Station 950 E. Dip 90 degrees. Total depth: 499.72 metres. This hole was drilled to test the western lobe of the Keel 2 CSAMT anomaly. This drill hole was lost at 499.72 metres due to extensive caving without reaching the basal contact of the intrusion. Three zones of sulphide mineralization were intersected in this drill hole: (i) a 66-metre interval from 253 metres to 319 metres, (ii) a five-metre interval from 364 metres to 369 metres, and (iii) a 15-metre interval at 486 metres to 499.72 metres. Noteworthy assay results as follows:

Cu Ni Pd Int. From To
(%) (%) g/t (m) (m) (m)

0.31 0.15 0.31 2.67 267.80 270.47
0.25 0.10 0.26 3.05 365.50 368.55
0.61 0.17 0.98 1.00 486.39 487.39
0.54 0.19 0.56 3.00 490.39 493.39

Diamond drill hole MU31:
L 2000 N station 1000 E dip 90 degrees. Total depth: 624.1 metres. This hole was drilled to test the western lobe of the Keel 2 CSAMT anomaly as well as an AMT anomaly. This drill hole went into the Keel/feeder dike and was terminated in the intrusive rocks after it passed well through the probable location of the CSAMT and AMT anomalies. This drill hole encountered a thick zone of 189 metres of sulphide mineralization from 429 metres to 618 metres. Noteworthy assay results were as follows:

Cu Ni Pd Int. From To
(%) (%) g/t (m) (m) (m)

0.12 0.10 0.39 4.5 441.10 445.60
0.10 0.05 2.61 1.5 492.61 494.11

Improved resolution and testing of conductivity within the eastern lobe of the Keel 2 CSAMT anomaly
Downhole electromagnetic surveys are now in progress on selected drill holes within the eastern lobe of the Keel 2 CSAMT anomaly. Preliminary results from drill hole MU33 have defined a conductive body 75 metres to 150 metres off hole to the east. This is coincident with an AMT conductive anomaly located in the same spatial sector. Hole MU35 (hole MU34 was lost due to caving) has now been drilled to intersect this more precisely resolved conductive anomaly. Results from this hole are currently being evaluated and will be reported shortly along with results from holes MU32 and 33.
