The following is my second e-mail to Mark Verbeck of Epoch, the lead analyst and managing partner involved in the Siebel report.

===================================

Mark,

After I sent the other e-mail to you, one of my threadmates made me aware of what we believe is a rather significant error in your Siebel report. On page 19, the report states that you have "conservatively forecasted 30%-35% growth for ... earnings per share (EPS) in 2001" to $.60. The numbers in Table 6 at the bottom of the same page accurately imply actual EPS in 2000 of $.53. That's only a 13% increase.

My concern is that most investors won't take the time to question so-called 30% increase. I didn't. And for the investors who do question it, my concern for you and your company is that there is a credibility issue associated with inaccurately labelling a 13% change an increase of at least 30%.

I hope this e-mail and my other one is helpful and generates constructive feedback. Thank you for your time.
