The review of the New Haven police documents on the fatal stabbing of Suzanne Jovin is to decide if records should be made public. The Hartford Courant and a high school friend of a man consider among several suspects, have filed complaints with the commission. They are seeking the release of the file and the 9-1-1 tape reporting Jovin's killing in December of 1998. They contend New Haven Police Chief Melvin Wearing violated the Freedom of Information Act by withholding documents. wtnh.com
