There was an article in Computerworld today about Network Computers. The author was Richard Finkelstein. He basically went over a possible scenario for the adoption of NCs over the next 3 years. The scenario takes it from early adoption by Universities and Hotels in early 1997 through to NCs everywhere in late 1998, which would include NC kiosks in real estate offices, auto dealers, shopping malls and airports. He also says NC telephones would break price barriers and cellular NCs would be a rage. He ends by saying 3 years is very aggressive but who would have guessed Intranets would have caught on so quickly.
