ID Four Acquires Stream Technology for $3.5m SAN DIEGO, June 13 /PRNewswire/ -- ID Four Ltd. (OTC Bulletin Board: IDFR - news) today announced the signing of the contract for the acquisition of Stream Technologies.
ID Four's Board of Directors today announced in a deal worth $3.5m, that the Stream Technologies purchase was a Major Technological Advancement to the company's proprietary software library, particularly in the IDC arena.
Details of the acquisition are confidential, however the company's CEO did state that the purchase would not affect the company's Float for at least one year.
Stream Technologies is a privately held UTAH Corporation, and holds the proprietary Technology which drives online Gaming Sites, such as: ``Letsplaysomegames.com.'' The Technology is an extremely advanced IDC client, which fits perfectly with ID Four's year 2001/2 Development and Marketing plans for both the company's ``Discovery'' CD Programs and the ``OEM'' markets, which are designed to replace the former ``Aveo-Attune'' IDC client. The advanced IDC Client will advance the opportunities available to ID Four in the ``Desktop Communications'' sector, which will ultimately create more revenue for the company.
Stream Technologies' proprietary software was developed by the company's President and CEO. Mr. Randy Whetton, who will be appointed to the Senior Board of Directors of ID Four Ltd. as Chief Technical Officer [CTO]. Mr. Whetton's Bio follows at the conclusion of the press release.
This welcome addition will enhance the company's Discovery CD Program, which includes the proprietary ``IDC'' client [Intelligent Digital Communicator] and is scheduled to start distribution in August 2001. The program has 3 phases of distribution totaling over 5 million CD-ROMs.
The ``Discovery'' CD Program is a High-Tech solution to develop a network of computer end-users who have agreed to install the IDC client at no charge on their computers, and who wish to be advised of Pre-emptive system and virus alerts before they even occur in addition to specific promotions distributed by ID Four to the network.
The distribution of the IDC client is via the company's ``Discovery'' CD Program. This program is the distribution of 5 million CDs via various media promotions delivered free of charge to the end users. ID Four's strategic partners who are including trial software programs on the ``Discovery'' CD including the AOL program, are sponsoring the cost of the program along with ID Four. The benefits to the participants are increased revenues from the upgrades to the full versions of the software programs. ID Four also shares in the revenues from the upgrades including the AOL program. Additionally the strategic partners will then have the opportunity to license from ID Four the use of the IDC client to message the network of end users with Pre-emptive alerts and marketing messages.
ID Four further announced today, talks are still continuing with the Major Power Companies for the use of IDC Technology as a Pre-emptive Rolling Blackout Alert system.
