Note that in the case of corrective triangles (talking Elliott here), it is usual that 'e' (down in this scenario) is a throw over or headfake. This would be our down that looks like the world is falling apart, only to see it reverse as a strong rally begins. We would be able to recognize such a reversal in time to bite out a lot of it except the first leg.
