Just listened to the replay of the presentation MRVC/CW made earlier today at the CIBC meeting. Replay is audible and relatively easy to understand. Any problem is with the speaker (Phil Szwarc) who comes across as an engineer rather than a businessman/professional manager/President of the company.
Following is what I got out of the presentation:
1. Although Noam and Edmund were in the audience the entire presentation was made by Phil Szwarc and related to CW.
2. Since we are not yet shipping product and for some reason (I don't understand or agree With) we don't want to talk about Beta sites, companies we are working with, etc. the presentation was more a technical capabilities of the products and how it compares to the two established compeitiors' machines. Largely based on LR comparison (or our retest) of CW, Juniper and Cisco TB routers.
3. As Phil said in test comparison we were #1 in 8 out of 9 catagories.
4. As Phil said CW will be announcing customer availability in July.
5. Expect to ramp up revenues (tied to sales not orders) late this year or early next year.
6. Next year CW expects to get "their bite" of the anticipated 7 to 8 Billion $ TB router market.
7. Made point how hard it is for anyone to break into this market. Made it sound like this big market made be split 3 ways for long time to come.
8. Made point given funds raised, burn rate and anticipated ramp in revenues/sales CW is in good shape. Got the impression they have not layed off any people (contrary to some posts on either SI or Y) and are actually selectively hiring.
No idea what may have been discussed, and by whom (Noam, Edmund or Phil) in Q&A session. Probably not too much as audience, which I assume was primarily money people, was probably put to sleep by Phil's somewhat technical, somewhat boring and very choppy presentation.
