About 7 to 10 equities in a swing portfolio, which we have and 4 daytrades(if you have super good execution).. We don't recommend scalping which has about 4 failures for every 5 successes. We stand by the "long term daytrade" which is our way of saying holding the position for at least 2 reversal periods and possibly much of the day for MAXIMUM PROFIT of the SHORT OR LONG. We look exceedingly at the nasdaq TRIN, the S&P futures and Nasdaq futures contracts and give them first dibs on our trades. WE don't get nervous nellie if the position moves down in 1 or 2 5 minute bars, because we have confidence in our positions which are researched carefully and not entered in on haphazardly in 'this looks nice' kind of of set ups. We get stopped out like everyone else but we use our failures to correct our trading in the future. Sometimes we just can't get the sector to perform like today's oil/energy sector so we take the loss. Time is up, I have to work, see everyone tomorrow about 8:30 a.m.
