MTON ($54) sees better than expected Q2,full year results
PORTLAND, Ore., June 14 (Reuters) - Telephone directory assistance provider Metro One Telecommunications Inc. (NasdaqNM:MTON - news) on Thursday said it expects second-quarter and full-year financial results will be better than expected.
The Portland, Ore.-based company, which provides directory assistance services for mobile phones, said it expects to post a profit of between 38 cents and 41 cents a share in the second quarter, while full-year earnings per share are expected to be in the range of $1.33 to $1.40.
Wall Street analysts polled by Thomson Financial/First Call are on average expecting the company to post a profit of 30 cents a share for the second quarter, and $1.25 a share for the full year. The company, which announced a 3-for-2 stock split on May 16, said the current guidance is given before consideration of its pending stock split.
In addition, second-quarter revenues are expected to be between $57 million and $59 million, slightly above the company's previous expectations.
