You're claiming that large numbers of otherwise law abiding people will suddenly decide to launch DoS attacks because Windows XP makes it easier to do so. That is, IMO, nonsense. IMO, anyone who wants to launch a DoS attack already has plenty of tools available. The claim that XP poses a problem also forgets that the first wave of UNIX-based DoS attacks inspired most systems admins to figure out ways to block such attacks. A Windows XP attack by a novice cracker is not likely to be sophisticated enough to get around such protective measures. Katherine
