Thank you, Art. You are a bleeding heart Ames stockholder.
Several points in the article is left out. No GE representatives? But the turn out shows no one is interested. Joe didn't do well at all last two years.
This year, if Ames does not start stocking in September they will miss the boat on projection. The turn around is apparel styling change, from classic to flair(small waist, slides and bright colors including black and white combos). Furniture and small appliances for the new 900,000 better homes built this year will keep that market active.
Most important is that TV advertizing has to focus on the middle class, not the bottom heap.
Certainly, AMES can not bid for all the bonds(the price will move up). But they can use profits to acquire some trades, if they are offered. Nothing wrong with profit on profits, GE should be informed though. A close relationship builds more credit.
I don't post as much lately here, because Joe is lost in his thoughts of what Ames could do. Repeating TV ads is brand building. However, if you send that kind of money, refocus the market share AMES wants to take. TV ads is a way of life with AMES now. No ads, revenue will fall further.
Happy Father's day sales at AMES. |
