You are assuming that the South had the right to secede. I do not. Had there been such a right, the mechanism would have been provided in the Constitution. I do not know why you choose to defend these slave- holding swine, who had the temerity to complain that they were being treated like slaves by the North, but Jefferson Davis' valedictory to the Senate could not be more clear: the main issue was slavery.......
