Yes. And QCOM is the only position I have sufficient stock in in my IRA to play the CC game meaningfully.

If so, what is your cost average?
Single digits.

So for now (and G_D willing never) I do not face the problem you describe.

I have tried selling naked puts on a very limited basis in my taxable account. I found you can be faced with a similar problem if the stock drops significantly below the strike price of the put. Buying the stock gives you an immediate loss of capital.
