OK, you got me.
Specifically, why is NOW the time to short THIS stock?
Would this be a long-term short? Why THIS stock, rather than one of the many that have risen on momentum rather than on fundamentals?
[If you are planning a long-term short, better be sure your reasoning would not equally well apply, say, 3 - 5 - 7 - 9 years ago - otherwise, your reasoning would say that Microsoft went down and stayed down long ago!]
As I am not a trader, I don't attempt to outguess, let alone fight, the market. I have observed, however, that those who speculate in shorts often lose theirs.
