i actually think that zonealarm has won that struggle hands down. it always seems to do the heavy lifting, always seems to be first on the scene with alerts, etc.

i view this conflict at boot up to be more like two people trying to fit through one doorway at the same time... and they get wedged in there and no one gets through. <g3> by placing the za shortcut in the start up folder, i have effectively made them both walk through the door in single file.

hey, thanks for the heads up about being out of town. i hope we aren't hit with a sudden rash of computer ailments where you ordinarily would have been called in to pull a double shift!
