Sonki,

If your friend, who had until then stayed earthborn, told you it was now a good idea to jump off a cliff, would you join him/her because you value his/her opinion?

What were the reasons that this until-recently-bullish person has now decided that Microsoft is not just a sell, but a short sale? If you value his/her opinion and agreed with the reasons, why did you buy MSFT on Friday?

I didn't say "sit tight", because I don't know what you are expecting of Microsoft in terms of return or time frame.

However, in general I would say as others have said: If you don't know why you are holding a stock, it is time to sell it.

Best regards,

Arno
