I voted for Reagan in '80 because I thought Carter was a lousy president. First-class person but lousy president. I was a registered Republican from '72 to '98 and voted for Bush over Clinton in '92. In '96 I voted for neither Clinton nor Dole. Voted in other races but not for president. I changed my party registration in '98 from Republican to Democrat because of the hypocrisy of the Republican impeachment proceedings vs. President Clinton. I saw the Republican Party, once the party of Rockefeller, Lindsay, Percy, become dominated by the likes of Dan Burton, "Bugs" DeLay, Newt Gingrich, Jesse Helms and Trent Lott. And let's not forget Antonin Scalia and Clancy Thomas. I woke up one morning in '98 and said, "Self, this party no longer represents your interests. It's time to get out." I did.

D-Dubya-I was elected president because people voted against Clinton-Gore, not for Bush. Already he has been a major disappointment as president.
