Justa and all, what do you think of the "Off-presidential election year" pattern? I'm guessing that the list was compiled by finding the low for the year, how much it fell from the previous high, and how much it climbed to the subsequent high. I'm wondering what would happen if one applied a similar process to other years. I wonder if anyone has performed this exercise to see if there is a statistically significant difference from other years?
