Nortel cutting outlook, jobs and dividends. Nasdaq futures changed instantly from +10 to -12. [now down 21] S&P futures followed suit. Nortel is building themselves a reputation among traders. . . . for negative surprises.

And I still question whether foreign companies may warn foreign analysts ahead of U.S. Regulation FD requirements.

48 cents per share operating loss. First call estimated a 6 cent loss. Ouch! May be some apples and oranges here [taking a charge, etc.]. . . but it is fairly close to accurate.

Related news: JDSU CEO says, "unprecedented slide in business". ABN and First Union downgraded today.

All in all, Fiber stocks not looking so good here. But I am still excited about the prospects of Interactive TV stocks. . . and am quite anxious to start buying them in the single digits when we finally hit bottom. [I love buying stocks in single digits.]
