I agree...

Hi Essam,

I agree... the VSE is looking very pathetic... As you have mentioned, there are very few buyers. And, IMO, I have found that sell orders can get pretty heavy whenever it looks like a stock is starting to move up at all (even a few cents). That often tanks the stock immediately after only a few trades... except in those very rare cases when a stock looks fairly strong. However, the strong plays are also like a volatile "musical chairs".. with nobody wanting to be left standing alone when the music stops. These conditions suggest that there is very little incentive to "hold" when you do get one of those rare upwards moves. Pullbacks are usually so large that you can easily buy back in a few days or weeks later. The net result is a market with very little real upward movement... and yes, that is very pathetic. )-:

Lately, I have found better plays on TSE listed stocks. I think that there is a perception that these are "safer" plays. I haven't found that many "great" plays there, but a few interesting little moves... some like ASL which moved up quite well this week before pulling back...(actually, I think it may have had a newsletter mention somewhere... I'm not sure). In any case, at least there is usually enough volume on the TSE to make some of the penny-stocks move up enough to turn some $$$. However, most of these are pulling back very quickly too... so it pays to listen carefully for that last note before the music stops...

Moral of this story??? The best "zombies" are on the TSE (however, the "story" must be excellent). Also, based on volume, my guess is that I'm not the only one who has abandoned the VSE for greener pastures...(-:

Regards,
Bev
