As I recall, there were many technical problems with the passage, one of which is that it was never ratified. There is a lot of noise on the subject, and it will take some time to filter it out to present a sound case. For instance, there seems to be some association with how the amendment was passed and a discrepency in Ohio's attainment of statehood in 1803. Is it true Ohio was made a state retroactive to 1803 in 1954? And there is this sort of attack as well: The coexistence of the personal income tax and The Bill of Rights ia an impossiibility. to give just one example,in an audit, confiscation form 1040 will be used against you. By being forced to filll out this form,you are giving evidence against yourself,a clear violation of the fifth amendment.
