The register article is based upon this following article. I clipped what I think is the real reason their is renewed interest in RDRAM chipset. Intel is not the only processor manufacturer out there. I still haven't seen convincing evidence that unbuffered DDR is as stable as it needs to be to be accepted. I talked to a small AMD OEM who quoting an AMD salesman said to him that DDR stability is still a "gray area".
