Swedish telecommunications equipment maker Ericsson said it has made several coups in China with today's signing
of valuable frame relay communications equipment contracts with Chinese network operators. Ericsson said the
contracts represent $850 million worth of business over three years.

The frame relay equipment will be used in GSM (global system for mobile communication), code division multiple
access (CDMA) and multi-service networks in Jiangsu province, China.

The equipment will be supplied to Jiangsu Mobile Communications Co. Ltd, China Unicom Jiangsu Branch, and
China Telecom Group Jiangsu Corporation, Ericsson said in a statement early today.
