BACKGROUND: The California ISO will roll out its new notification program as grid conditions warrant. The California ISO will use e-technology as its primary tool to issue forecasts for potential blackouts 48-hours out, updated 24-hours in advance, based on such factors as weather, plant outages, and supply and demand.
