Yes, patience is the key. People got too used to the market bouncing back. Now they have to wait until true bases are built up again, and it could take months or more. The game is not "on again".

Trader's can still trade, but for most, it will be a time to tend the portfolio. My personal feeling is that, on a fundamental basis, many of the big names that people have been trading over the past two years will be gone, similar to what happened after the 1966-1974 secular top in equities.
