ca,
<< Your definition of "scorer" and mine must be different >>
It is. We're talking about scoring, not shooting percentage
A scorer SCORES points - field goals AND free throws.
PPG the magic number for me, across a season, and across a career, which means playing hurt if you have to, getting in the minutes, putting the ball in the air, drawing fouls, and then sinking them when you have to.
I mean if your into field goal percentages than go with Bonzi Wells, Marcus Camby, or Kurt Thomas but don't go with Kobe Bryant who shot .463 this year to Iverson's .420, a differential that does not impress me.
Now you can look at Shaq who led the league in field goal percentage but your looking at a 13" & 160 pound advantage over Iverson, and he still finished behind Stackhouse and Iverson who scored the points, and Iverson who led in PPG. Iverson also led in Steals Per Game, Minutes Per Game, Points Per 48 Minutes, and was number 2 in Free Throws and Field Goal Attempts even if only #6 in Field Goals Made ...
<< You neglect to mention he is shooting < 40% in this series, which is unacceptable >>
I'm sure it is to Allen. It is not to me, or other Philadelphia fans, under the circumstances. You don't here any booing do you from the meanest most obnoxious fans in the league, or any sign of criticism from his teamates.
Game time. Enjoy, whether it's Taps for the Sixers or on to LA.
