T, i know the question was not posed to me but i do find ADX
to be very interesting.
Reversals with a very high ADX seem to be preceded by a high DMI; what seems to be of interest is that the dominant
DMI seems to turn before the lesser DMI

Also on a similar tangent notice that often if there is a very high ADX, ADX will take a "U" or "V" shaped pattern before the next significant chart point is made, the rest of the adx movements in between are just noise.

3rd the traders club recently posted an idea placing a trade based upon ADX exceeding DMI: if ADX crosses above DMI enter the
trade with a parabolic SAR as the trigger.
