Laissez Faire worked in the time of crisis. Socialism didn't. I think if America is to compete against the world we need to be a lttle more tolerant of monopolies. With the EU forming up now, and China trying to seduce Russia. What does the fed have to do with purchasing foreign assets? Monetary policy is their domain, isn't it? What was the book Paine wrote after Common Sense? I am pretty sure he makes it plain there that he does not believe in God. What have you got against country boys?
