Rustam, We've known for a long time that the legacy equipment market was going to get slammed. But this announcement is breathtaking. I had no idea that things were that bad over at Nortel. It looks like my predictions of Nortel's equipment write-offs were not that premature. Meanwhile, Ciena is still hiring as their business remains brisk. Very strong message there. There is also a strong message in Nortel's woes as they are incorrectly perceived to be pervasive throughout the industry. This is a fallacy. But the winning companies like Ciena and ONI Systems may continue to suffer collateral damage in their stock prices, all while they are out there capturing market share from the losers. Will the buying opportunity of a lifetime get better? Jack Hutchison
