Merciful heavens! It's not either/or. The stars are still shining, the crickets are out there, the earth still smells sweet when the sun goes down, but here I am sitting in my study in Virginia, talking to Jay in Hong Kong, DJ in Germany or Slovenia, and other people all over the world.
Yes, yes, a hundred times yes, I am happy to have my fax machine, and my microwave, and very very happy that we don't live anywhere near the mini-city my husband works in, with tall buildings and no grass.
