Interesting, Charlie. What speed? Did you say you have an ISDN line? I downloaded VP4...watched their samples ( ideal conditions) Jurassic Park. Evolution, and American Pie trailers at various speeds. Tough to compare to ITG usually because they encode at higher rates than iNEXTV. Not apples and apples normally....but for me the resolution of the 300k Big Red stream was a little disappointing at full screen. Got a fair amount of blur.

Your point about the plug in is VERY well taken, Charlie. If ITG went the awkward plug in route, they could probably enhance what they do.Makes much more sense to me to smoothly wrap around existing and future platforms though. All just my opinion, of course.

I was catching smooth motion and excellent VP4 quality at 440K on windows media...but that is almost 3 times iNEXTV's usual BB encoding rate. The narrowband stuff was good...again very smooth motion and decent color but pretty poor but not awful resolution...but again it was encoded at 2.5 times iNEXTVs narrowband encoding rate and the samples are shown under idealized conditions.

I think the two companys' streaming quality are mighty close. Flip a coin. Two vastly different business strategies though... ont2 has gone the licensing route and stressing quality rather than cost savings.
And AXC has much more debt, but also many more varied underlying assets. And I would hope more lasting value.

Interesting that the Duck corporation was discussed at length on these boards as a possible acquisition years ago....before they went public as ONT.

Best of luck to all...we are probably rounding the far turn. Here's to hopes a decent finish line....or better yet, a financially regenerated race. If AXC ever made a good sales pitch...NOW is the time.
