Winston, that is interesting. If anything, it shows that Bankers Trust make their buying toward the end of the day (market close vs market open), and toward the end of the week.

As for myself, I find most stocks level off at the end of the day. Normally I put out a buy order in the morning, with a limit price lower than the market. I usually get filled in the afternoon.

Thru the Canada Stockwatch site, I found there was 1,674,234 shares traded last week (06/09-06/13) in the Toronto and Montreal stock exchanges. And the daily volume is about 300,000 shares Monday to Friday (nothing unusual on Friday).

My wife and I bought NT since 1992 and stucked it away into our RRSP accounts, thus confirming your assumptions.
