Mr. Mark,

Thanks for the help. I tried most of the suggestions in the library...and got frustrated that nothing seemed to change things for me.

It turns out that problems with "Updates" are covered by tech support by telephone (free, too). I spoke with them for 35 minutes and they checked some general settings. Then, we re-installed Visual Basic, deleted temp internet files, and emptied the recycle bin.

Problem solved (for now!)...Thanks!
