OT re 5 core stocks:

Your list is similar to mine.

Mine is:

AMAT below 35 (and short it at 56)
QCOM below 40 (and short it at 65)
CSCO below 10 (and short it at 19)
JDSU below 7 (wish I had been smart enough to short it anytime in the last year, too late now)
EMC below 28 (I started buying at 37, just bought a lot more at 28)
TXN below 30 (and short it at 36)
CMH (my non-tech diversifier, bought last year at 8.1)

IMO: INTC is becoming a too-big conglomerate, whose core business is a commodity. I like smaller chip companies, more focussed on growth noncommodity areas. SNDK may become a commodity also, and is a speculative play. NOK is a boxmaker for TXN and QCOM chips. Like Dell, in the end they are in a bad business, making a commodity with steadily falling margins.
