The disparaging remarks concerning Coca-Cola were rather surprising coming from a market Bull. Coca-cola is usually the centerpiece stock of those who continue bullish. Unfortunately, that discussion was about the only one I pulled in. WLS Chicago was distorted by a local disturbance, WISN Milwaukee was preempted by baseball, and WOSH Oshkosh was wiped out by another signal. A LaCross staion sharing its signal with some oldies station was all I could come up with. So it's like I'm listening to BB talk about Coca-Cola seeming to be going up forever "Until the twelfth of never, and that's a long, long time."
I'm rather interested to hear BB's thoughts on brokers myself. For several years my broker has had his own one hour talk show Saturday mornings on a local station which he uses as a bully pulpit for the free enterprize system. A former Marine Guard, he was stationed at the U.S. Embassy in Tehran and became one of the hostages when that crisis developed. His photo was in Time not so long ago under "Where they are now."
Anyway, he predicted a DOW of 8300+ this year and he did so as the DOW was freefalling earlier this spring and everyone else was "Worried, Lou" so if brokers are indeed the ultimate scourge of mankind it's minus mine. I wanted to e-mail that blurp to him about the DOW and "7777" on Friday the 13ths--anybody get that entire segment?
