Eric L: Since you have attempted to answer my questions over the years,* (usually very helpfully), here is an attempt at yours.

<< What is "always on" worth actually? >>

"What is it worth to you?"

Having used landline "always on", it was a much better experience than "dial up" for my desktop computer.

I would look forward to a similar experience for computer like functions where I could be connected to the internet using a laptop or handheld device. (Which in my case in the US would be CDMA 2000)

"What will be your buying reasons for purchasing a new mobile phone?"

What I will probably purchase will not be a new mobile phone as such, but a "device" to make it possible to connect to the internet smoothly. This may be a "modem" or a handheld.

(Actually, from you description of the Nokia "communicator", that would be a device I would look at as soon as it becomes available on CDMA 2000. The question for me then is whether to wait for 1xEV.)

"What do you plan to use it for other than voice calls?"

See above.

Best as always.

Chaz
