Solomon is simply hyping a stock they underwrote in the hopes of getting more CS business.

I was not too impressed by the Avici announcement because they are such a small player and I didn't understand the implications as you do. I think I get it in that their systems could completely replace the old leased phone systems that companies have used for years and still provide the same security??????

How do they go up against CSCO and the others? These guys are tiny and just like Microsoft did for desktop software, the big networkers can sell everyone a crappy system (by comparison) just based on their marketing, installed base, and political power.
