I hope you have a lot more than 9 years.

I recall reading about a fellow named Art Lawson. He got a dose of gas in WWI and was told he had 3 months to live. That would have made for a pretty short career so he went fishing. Got good enough at it he became a guide. 10 years later he caught a musky that's still the record today. He only made it into his 70s.
