It is estimated that Americans lost $4-$6 TRILLION Dollars in savings since March 2000. There is no doubt that many companies will report good earnings and that eventually the stronger companies will pull through, while the weaker ones will not.

The problem IMO is that American investors who've seen their savings vanish will not be there at the finish line waving their wallets to pick up shares of the victors. Therefore, until the memories of the tragedy that took place is long behind us, we will NOT return to set new highs. How long will it take to put these memories behind us? It might take a whole new generation of investors IMO. Just look at Japan.

And if that is the case, we are all losers.
