Hi Master,

I hear what you're saying.

I do not think all investors are in the same pickle. There are a lot of people here in Houston that are making big money with the energy exploration boom that the cartel manipulation has spurred on.Credit must be balanced - that's hard to do if your money is in JDSU and it just got creamed.

Japan has structural bank problems and a good ole boy system that refuses to relinquish power and take a dose of medicine that has long been needed.

The fact that their bubble is being perpetuated and Nortel just wrote off 19.2 Billion starckly displays the long term advantages of our system's way of doing business.

Just cause it takes 10 years of ignoring financial insolvency in Japan does not mean our .com bubble bursting will take down our entire technology.

I for one have invested in low eps stocks that have no debt and have seen at least 8 cycles of excess capacity. They know how to weather a downturn.

They are sitting on hundreds of millions and in some cases Billions in cash. These cycles provide excellent entry points for investors and allow the companies to focus on R&D which further enhances their lead in technology .Most solid companies accelerate when the nextcycle resumes and in fact gain market share.

I view this breather as a wonderful time to reassess one's holding and make adjustments. Not to mention be aggressive in securing a larger position. To be profitable one must buy low and sell hi.

Most investor require an increasing stock price to get them to take positions. This is usually the root cause for their failure. I like Brian Kerecz's approach "I bought Jdsu because every body else was selling".

Take speculation out of it and instead invest for a lng term hold and I bet buyers today have a 3-4 bagger in two years. That works for me.JMHO
