You might consider no longer calling anything or anyone athwipe.

You yourself, of course, are entitled to be called whatever you wish. You seem to be so enamoured of the term athwipe, it just seemed common courtesy to start using it as your nickname. If you've suddenly come to fell that the phrase is a less appealing than you once did, just stop using it, and I'd lose any justification for a "free pass", as you call it.
