Lars/Chaz: Agree. GPRS always on, even with the "slow" Motorola model currently available, is a real boon. Not having to wait for a dial up connection makes use so much more easier for non time critical applications like email.

If we look at how SMS has taken off, it is likely email will drive the new mobile packet data services. Surfing the Web, to start with, will only be a gimmick. Also, to start with, dedicated services such as interrogating databases will be the main use (such as bus/train/plan timetables).
